Why should you use a static IP address?
Another way to think of a static IP address is to think of something like an email address or a home address. These addresses don’t change – they are permanent – and it makes contacting or finding someone super easy.
Similarly, a static IP address will be very useful if you host a website from home with a file server on the Internet, use a printer connected to a Wifi network, forward ports to a specific device, run print server or use remote desktop programs (such as Teamviewer).
